PRINTING & SIZING GUIDE FOR THE BOSS PLANNER MINI

What size paper should I use to print my planner?

The standard Boss Planner Mini PDF was designed to be printed on either A4 or Letter-sized paper (8.5” x 11”).

We are planning to release an 8” x 5.5” true-mini size in the next few weeks for Boss babes who would like to have a smaller version of the planner. This version will be emailed to customers when it’s released.

What type of paper should I use to print my planner?

We recommend printing on a standard finish copy paper or with Matte finish paper. The standard finish copy paper will be the most economical for people to print, while the Matte will have a slight sheen to it without being difficult to write on with a regular ballpoint pen.

Print Double-Sided or Single-Sided?

Whether you’d like to print single- or double-sided is entirely up to you! We believe in saving trees where you can, but the planner works well regardless of how you print it.

/// OUR PREFERENCES  ///

If you are planning on binding your planner or your printer has the ability to print double-sided – we recommend taking advantage of the saved paper!

If you’re not planning on binding your planner or choose to use a standard 3-Ring Binder, it may be recommended to print single-sided.

Are there any pages I can omit printing?

Of course! Once you go through the planner a few times, there are a few pages that aren’t necessary. Here’s the list of the pages we think you can skip if you’re trying to conserve paper or ink.

What are the best ways to bind this planner?

There are so many ways you can enjoy your Boss Planner Mini! Here are our favorite methods of binding a printed planner.

Spiral Bound – This is a popular method of binding notebooks and planners. Spiral binding is the plastic spiral you see on notebooks and planners. It’s a great choice for people who like to flip their planners into a single-page side up writing pad. You can get your planner professionally spiral bound or purchase a kit to bind it at home.

Wire Bound Spirals – This is the most common binding for planners on the market. Wire bound spirals are the metal spirals you see on notebooks and planners. The most common types have a double wire on each loop. It’s a great choice for people who like to flip their planners into a single-page side up writing pad. You can get your planner professionally wire bound or purchase a kit to bind it at home.

Disbound Discs – We love a good disc planner or notebook! Disbound discs look like hole-less buttons and are made in a variety of sizes, materials, and colors. The most popular disc brands are the Talia Discbound Discs and (cute) covers, TUL Discbound Expansion Discs and The Happy Planner Discbound Discs. These discs are reusable and come with their own hole-punchers. You can also easily add pages whenever you need them without having to take the entire book apart. You can pick these discs up on Amazon or your local office supply store. You will need at least a 1-inch disc per month if you’re printing single-sided sheets. (Our favorite disc looks are the TUL tortoiseshell discs and the champagne metal!)

3-Ring Binder – You can never go wrong with a 3-Ring Binder! A single-sided printed Boss Planner Mini can fit into any 1  ½-inch 3-Ring Binder. The soon-to-come Boss Planner Mini True-Mini can fit into the smaller Half Letter sided 3-Ring Binders. You can pick your favorite binder up on Amazon or your local office supply store.
